How do I make a dining request on a booking?


Club dining


Dining requests such as a request for a window table or table for two, can be added as part of the booking process via completecruisesolution.Com. Dining request can be added on the 'create booking' screen from 'table request' drop down on the 'dining and bedding' section.


If you are adding a request after the booking has been made, select 'manage booking' enter the booking reference, then select 'booking information' you can then select a dining request from the 'table request' drop down box.


All requests should be added on polar online, no additional requests can be made outside of polar online.


Freedom dining


Please note that dining requests cannot be added to bookings confirmed on freedom dining, this is because the time of table number the passengers will dine at each night will change. Passengers should make any requests known to their restaurant manager whilst on board.

Wednesday 1st july saw complete cruise solution go bonkers for barbados, crazy for cozumel and mad for mayreau! Launching free holiday spending money on selected caribbean cruises for every brand for the whole month of july and even double on board spend for selected ventura caribbean cruises booked on either the 1st or 2nd july!


Leading the way for complete cruise solutions caribbean push was victoria simmons, laura crowley, anna baxter, lucy guy and alyshia bartlett. The ladies at CCS certainly made the 1st day of the caribbean free holiday spending money plain sailing celebrating with a cocktail or two (non-alcoholic of course. )

Carnival UK doing something funny for money!!

The carnival UK call centre opened it's telephone lines on the evening of friday 13th march between 7pm and midnight to take donations on behalf of comic relief.


We had an amazing response with over 100 volunteers giving up their friday evening to help. We also welcomed atul kochhar (celebrity chef who will feature onboard azura cooking in his retaurant sindhu), mayor of southampton and editor of the daily echo to help on the phones. Paddington bear and noddy also made an appearance!

As the evening started the excitement built, who was going to take the first donation, who would take the largest donation and who would eat the most pizza! During the evening the call centre took over £100k in public donations.


In addition to taking public donations, carnival UK raised an incredible £3177.51 for comic relief, with funds collected from a dress down day, silent auction, raffle and sponsored head shave!

On wednesday 11th february complete cruise solution's regional sales executive, jonathan davies escorted marco pierre white to cruise thomas cook's call centre in accrington.


Marco walked the call centre floor speaking to staff and posed for a few photos with the team. He then took the top sellers in january out for lunch at traders brasserie in accrington.

Fiona snow, sian crossey, zoe scott and dink ganatra from complete cruise solution all attended the british travel awards. They were joined by sarah bolton, maria wade, keren bleich, kerry hannington, dave mills and sarah hall who had all won the opportunity to attend through waves of wisdom.


With the live band playing and presenter, frankie boyle, coming on stage, the evening got off to a great start. After the awards ceremony our dinner arrived during which the entertainment was a tribute band to the supremes. Then, the highlight of the evening, signature, the second place act in britain's got talent, performed. After dinner we had more awards and then the supremes tribute band continued to play as we danced the night away. The VIP area had a fantastic chocolate fountain which was drawing huge crowds and the hot dogs at the end of the night were also well received.


We would like to say a big thank you to all the WOW winners who joined us at the table. A fantastic evening was had by all and we are now eagerly looking forward to next years event.


Complete cruise solution attend travel counsellors 2008 annual conference in marbella.

Gill smeal, jo cook and caroline moody from complete cruise solution headed off to sunny spain on friday 21st november. After an early start (3am!) we arrived into malaga along with 1200 others which included 800 travel counsellors, partners and other suppliers. On arrival at the top conference hotel the gran melia don pepe, we checked in and started making up 800 goody bags with flyers with all our wave collateral and other goodies to give out at the pow wow!


At 8pm the welcome party started at olivia valere in marbella, an amazing typically andalusian venue opening its drawbridge to a magical world where our generous hosts from the costa del sol showed us a little of what spain has to offer with fantastic food, exciting entertainment and an amazing opening to conference 2008!


After attending the welcome party we carried on with the CCS goody bags eventually finishing stuffing them at 1am! It was definitely time to get some rest.
The next day feeling somewhat refreshed after a good nights sleep, the main conference started at the marbella conference centre including a welcome from david speakman and our 8 minute CCS video which was shown to over 1000 people! WOW WOW WOW WOW.

That evening was a free evening so we headed down to nearby puerto banus where all 1200 delegates had descended into linekars bar as they were offering a discount for the conference, the evening turned into a typical travel industry party and even hugh grant showed up! (need we say more!)


On sunday the conference ended with a fantastic motivational speech from annabelle bond who climbed mount everest and then went onto scale all seven summits. That night we hosted 2 tables at the gala dinner and awards where we were delighted that caroline howden who won the best cruise travel counsellor 2008 was on our table - well done caroline from all at CCS.
Finally on monday after a busy but successful few days we bid a tearful farewell to our colleagues at travel counsellors as we headed back to malaga airport for our return to the cold in the UK.

P&O’s aurora emerges from refurbishment for new life as adults-only cruise ship


Aurora, the second-oldest ship in the P&O cruises fleet (until oriana is sold in august this year) has completed a major refurbishment project that saw her transformed into an adults-only ship.


Aurora is now the third ship in the fleet dedicated solely to adult cruise passengers (joining oriana and arcadia) and she features 23 new cabins on D deck aft, where the kids pool and play areas used to be.

“we are so pleased to welcome back aurora from refit ready for her new chapter,” said paul ludlow, president of P&O cruises.


“we continually invest in all of our ships, always striving to offer our guests the best service and experience. We are sure that aurora’s contemporary refresh will delight all who sail on her,” he added.


All her public spaces have been modernised, soft furnishings in the staterooms have been refreshed, and the suites have been entirely overhauled with new furniture, carpets, furnishings and even bathroom fittings.

While the work wasn’t done during the refit, over the next six months all the mattresses in every single cabin will also be replaced.


Elsewhere on the ship the popular raffles bar and lounge has received new carpets and soft furnishings, as has anderson’s, carmen’s, charlie’s, and masquerade.

The glass house lounge has been thoroughly modernised and the oasis spa has received new treatment rooms, and a revamped thermal suites and steam room.


Up on the pool deck, there’s new poolside furniture and mosaic tiling at the riviera and crystal pools and bar areas, and down on D deck aft the kids pool is now a relaxing wake-view swimming retreat called the terrace pool, with its own terrace bar.


In this area there are also 19 of the 23 new staterooms, five deluxe balcony cabins to starboard and six to port, with four mini suites overlooking the pool and four new standard inside cabins.


Aurora is currently sailing her first voyage since the refit, a 16-night cruise from southampton to portugal, the canary islands and the azores.


She’ll offer a shortened version of this itinerary ranging from 7, 12, 14 and 18 nights throughout 2019 and 2020, cruising roundtrip from southampton to portugal and the canary islands and northern europe.

Giles & bob take to the 3 peaks challenge


July brings a massive challenge for myself, bob dixon and four other travel industry friends, when we aim to conquer the UK’s 3 highest peaks in less than 24 hours. Our fitness, willpower, mental strength and teamwork will be put to the test when climb ben nevis, scafell pike and snowdon to raise funds for our charity action medical research.


Action medical research is one of the UK’s most forward thinking charities. They believe diseases and disabilities can be beaten, and through medical research they are creating a healthier future for everyone. They have been making medical breakthroughs for over 50 years – including helping develop the UK polio vaccine, ultrasound scanning in pregnancy and the hip replacement operation – saving countless lives and preventing disease and disability.


Currently the charity is looking for answers to many serious illnesses, selecting the best research projects in areas where they are most likely to find cures or treatments.

On wednesday night complete cruise solution reservations department were awarded the mitial "best call centre workplace (2008)" for the second year running. This award looks at key areas within the organisation that effect employees: perception of leadership, training & development, environmental efficiency, work life balance, employee engagement, employer of choice and cost of labour. The competition was strong and this year included ABSA, air miles travel company and leicestershire constabulary and this year we widened the gap between our reservations department and second place.

Ventura arrives in her home port


As I am pregnant I now don't spend my sunday mornings with a very sore head so I decided to get up yesterday and watch ventura sail into southampton. Within half an hour of waking up everywhere was covered in snow! I arrived at the beach only couldn't even see the sea as everything was covered in snow and it was still snowing heavy! I waited in the cold for a bit until I realised that the ship had probably passed me without me noticing so I gave up and went and had a nice warm breakfast and yes I had missed the ship.

Dragon's deck update

Four agents came to present to the dragons yesterday afternoon in southampton in the 2007 dragon's deck finale.


I understand from the dragons that the presentations were generally of a high standard and that the finalists responded well to the dragons' questions.

Following our successful involvement with children in need two years ago, P&O cruises has once again offered a prize for terry wogan's auction for "things money can't buy."


We have offered two invitations to the ventura naming ceremony, gala dinner and overnight event, a cruise for two on ventura during her maiden season and dinner with marco pierre white on board.


This will be auctioned on wednesday 14 november during terry's show from 7.30am - 9am


Let's hope it raises thousands of pounds for children in need.
