The miasma marshes
There are a couple of enemies outside on the world map. Other than that, there's
nothing to worry about, so go on and enter the deadly marshes. Once you're
inside, esther will clear them out for you with the clarion. After a scene, you
will be able to explore the quagmire of corruption! (giggity!)
Before moving, you'll want to cast 'levitate', and keep it on the entire time.
The whole area is covered with random poison traps, so use the spell and keep an
eye on the icon in the upper left corner; if you see it start to blink, cast it
again, and be careful NOT to touch the ground.
Use the waystone if you need to, then proceed northwest to a fork. Open the
chest to your left first to find an [ESPRESSO], then return to the fork and make
your way to the far northwestern dead-end for a blue chest containing a set of
[DEAD MAN'S DUDS]. Head back to the waystone to heal, then proceed northeast,
going all the way up when you can to find another chest at a dead-end. Open it
for an [ALL-BE-GONE].
Head down from that chest now, and you'll soon come to an open area / awkward
fork in the path. Take a few steps north, then turn east to find a red chest
near the water with a [FRUIT FLAN] inside. Turn left, then you'll be at another
split as you go up. Continue up, then go right and down to find a blue chest at
a dead-end; unlock it for a [FIEND'S FANG].
Go back to the fork and continue west, then a tiny bit north to be at another
somewhat open fork. Head up and to the right first, grabbing the [TONIC] at the
dead-end here, then return and go slightly left, then down. You'll come to
another dead-end down here to the left, along with a nice purple chest. Unlock
it for a suit of [NIGHT ARMOR]. Return to the fork, then go northwest, moving
up as you go, but stopping before you turn right. There's a green chest to your
west, so go up against the upper left edge here to find swaine's vantage point,
allowing you to snipe a bottle of [SPRITE DEW].
That's it for treasure, so head right and follow the path to another waystone.
Use it, then proceed northwest to take on the evil vileheart.
After the battle, watch the quick scene before you regain control in a different
area. Just go forward to progress the story, the watch the story unfold in a
major way.
You'll eventually regain control of esther in perdida. Head south to the exit
for another long set of scenes between esther and swaine, then with oliver. It
will all lead to another battle with vileheart, but this time, with the ultimate
[MORNSTAR] spell in his possession!
After the battle, make any preparations needed before heading to nevermore. When
you're ready, use 'travel' to go back to the miasma marshes, then proceed to the
magic circle in front of you. It'll take you back to where you fought vileheart,
so from there, just travel northwest and follow the path to enter nevermore!

The original ni no kuni was a hit when it graced the nintendo DS, then later released on the PS3. Now, ni no kuni comes to the nintendo switch, in all its glory. It’s a role playing game with a unique combat system, lovable characters, and art straight from studio ghibli. It’s one of the best nintendo switch games you need to own.

This love-letter to studio ghibli—who helped develop the world—is a must-have on the nintendo switch, if you’re a fan of rpgs. It’s beautiful artstyle, music, characters, and world are too good to pass, with a story that’s heartbreaking and endearing.

Performance
As the protagonist, oliver, you get to experience a world that’s not your own, one that’s full of magic, on a quest to save oliver’s mother. Fight monsters, capture familiars, and equip yourself and allies with more and more powerful gear. Then there’s the battle system. It’s an interesting combination that, somehow, works well after you warm up to it. You control oliver and his friends in real time, moving about the map to line up magic spells, heal an ally, dodge attacks, and issue commands. However, each ally has their own familiars, which you can swap out with ones you’ve caught. It feels like pokemon but in real time, and an emphasis on RPG elements.
Design
Sometimes video games forget that graphical fidelity isn’t everything; ni no kuni wrath of the white witch proves you can create a game with style, and still be breathtaking. It’s such an endearing fantasy world that studio ghibli—famous for spirited away, my neighbor totoro, and more—helped create. They helped create the wonderful cutscenes in between, while level-5 recreated that artstyle into a 3D format. It’s more than a game, it’s a love-letter to studio ghibli, and it clearly shows, from the creatures that roam around the map, to the loveable cast of characters. We see that same kind of love and care in the witcher 3 wild hunt.
Value
Ni no kuni was a load of fun. The story is compelling, the characters are great, and the world itself is hard to leave. The battle system is unique, though it can be complex after some time. This game isn’t just for kids, but adults as well. It’s one of many games that bridge the gap between kids and adults. The fact that you can now take it on the go, in an updated format on the nintendo switch, is awesome. If you have a switch, you’re doing yourself a disservice by ignoring this title.
Unfortunately, it isn’t multiplayer, which is a shame. But if co-op is what you’re looking for, super smash bros ultimate, and mario and rabbids kingdom battle are available.

While the battle system takes some time getting used to, especially for kids, it’s well-worth the effort and adults will love the added complexity with familiars. This is a solo journey, so having multiplayer might lessen the experience. mind into it, doesn't let go of you. Soaked with meaning and hidden layers to
explore, it opens up an entire new world. Structured by the laws of our own
existential lives - yet different in all the details - it manages to captivate
and intrigue not only yourself, but generations to come.
The modern age has shaped a landscape in which spaces have been created that
allow people to tell narratives in different ways. Movies and TV-series are
but examples of the wide diversity of media that emerged in the 20th century.
The space in which video games shine has only opened up in recent decades and
by the looks of its main stream of output appears to be in its puberty.
It opens up fantastic possibilities to craft narratives in ways unseen before
and it's wonderful to witness every once in a while a game that makes full use
of the semantic potential that the videogame medium contains deep down; an
ability to shape a whole unique lifeworld in which one can dwell and live.
That is exactly what ni no kuni manages to do. Playing such a videogame means
nothing other than merging your regular 'lifeworld' with another lifeworld, in
this case a world fully created by human beings. This differs from reading a
book or watching a movie in an important sense, namely that the subject's free
will literally start playing a role; one gets the feeling of *exploring* a
lifeworld rather than being a spectator. Appropriate music has the power to
enhance the intensity of this feeling, and our fancy is pampered by dynamic
and imaginative environments and creatures.
The feeling of exploration is not an unimportant element of video games, and
especially if one already has the expectation to be drawn into another world,
it's a very disappointing experience to find a linear path drawn out for you;
in an almost unlawful fashion are you stripped from a portion of expected
freedom.
Studio ghibli has managed to create a beautiful lifeworld that will surely
enchant you. In the end, be it in the form of a tragic yet wonderful graphic
novel such as jimmy corrigan by C. Ware, or in the shape of a movie like let the
right one in, or in the fashion of ni no kuni, what really matters is a
lifeworld's ability to charm its visitors in a singular way and leave a lasting
impression to be shared with others. We can safely assure you that ni no kuni
lives up to its name: another world.
While it's the duty of the creator(s) to craft the above potential, it's the
explorer's responsibility to truly do a lifeworld justice. Just like a tourist
ought to take his time exploring a new city in order to discover new things
worthy of attention, so too does a digital lifeworld require proper attention
and efforts. A travel guide for those prepared to undertake this not always
light hearted quest might thus be a welcome subsidiary.
As such, we do not share the opinion that guides take the fun out of games.
It's perfectly understandable should someone want to explore a world all by
themselves at first, but he who wishes to master the art of exploration better
stands on the shoulders of giants before him, to truly turn every turnable

10 dinoceros
As part of the dracones genus, dinoceros is an ideal familiar for oliver. It is vulnerable to poison but has nothing that it is highly vulnerable to. Additionally, it's easy to level and has some very powerful moves.
Dinoceros can be found at the genie's steps, and it metamorphoses into destroceros, before becoming either catastroceros or demoliceros. To ensure its final form is the powerhouse you want it to be, you should wait until destroceros learns belly buster at level 16 before metamorphosing it into its final form, and catastroceros is usually the preferred choice.
9 whippersnapper
Whippersnapper is arguably the best familiar to fulfill the role of a tank for oliver. As part of the vermes genus, it has an affinity with oliver. It can be found in the deep dark wood area.
Its next evolutionary form is trapper snapper, and then it can morph into either snaptrap or claptrap, both of which are good. However, if you find you need a little extra help, choose claptrap as its final form, as it has some healing tricks it can use to support the party.
8 bonehead
Bonehead is part of the mortui genus, and this makes it the perfect choice for an attacker for swaine who has an affinity with this genus. Not only does it deliver strong attacks, but it also has a resistance to physical attacks. Boneheads can be found in the golden grove-south area and morph into bone ranger before its final forms of either bone brigadier or bone baron.
Bone baron is the recommended choice for players, which can also be found in the shimmering sands desert area. Generally, however, it is better to level your familiars yourself to make them as strong as possible.
7 hooray
Hooray is part of the aquatica genus, and this makes it an ideal attacker for esther's team. Arguably, it is the best attacker for her, as not only is it a powerful attacker, but it has high speed and defense too. Additionally, it has a good range of offensive tricks at its disposal.
Hoorays can be found in the sea just south of the summerlands, generally around castaway cove. It metamorphoses into hip-hooray before its final branching forms of grimray or springray.
6 oroboros
Oroboros is part of the vermes genus, making oliver the best choice for this critter due to his affinity with them. It has a high magic stat that makes it a brilliant spellcaster or healer choice for oliver to use depending on the final form that the player chooses.
Oroboros is found in the rolling hills area and metamorphoses into chloroboros before its final forms of either obscuroboros or fluoroboros. For a healer role, choose fluoroboros, but, for a spellcaster role, choose obscuroboros.
5 monolith
Monolith is part of the automata genus, so it is best used with swaine who has an affinity with this type. Monolith is a brilliant tank choice for swaine, as it has a natural resistance to physical attacks as well as a high defense.
Monoliths can be found in the bayous area near castaway cove and metamorphose into megalith before its final forms of paleolith or neolith. Both final forms are good, but paleolith has a handy trick called "upsy-daisy," which revives an unconscious ally.
4 napcap
Napcaps are exceptional spellcasters and very handy healers to have in your party. As part of the flora genus, they are best used with esther.
Napcaps are found in the golden grove area and metamorphose into duncecap before its final forms of madcap or nightcap. To make it the most efficient healer, you might want to get it to level 32, as duncecap to learn "second wind," before morphing it into a third form. Nightcap is the better healer/support role of the final forms based on the tricks it can learn.
3 sillymander
Sillymander is the fastest familiar in the game and can also hit hard, making it a great choice for an attacker in your team. As part of the vermes genus, they are best used with oliver who has an affinity with them.
Sillymanders can be found in the vault of tears, and it metamorphoses into slamander before it transitions into its final forms of pyromander or petramander. Pyromander is the best choice, as petramander has a weakness to physical attacks.
2 lumberwood
Lumberwood is of the flora genus and is best suited for esther. It is the best tank in the game, and, if you have esther set to defense and she has this little guy out, she essentially never dies.
Lumberwood can be found in the no longer mine area and metamorphoses into limberwood before turning into either umberwood or wildwood. Wildwood is the preferred choice of most players, but, if you find you are struggling a little, then choose umberwood as it has some healing tricks.
1 toko
Toko is capable of becoming one of the best powerhouse healers if the player is willing to put the time in. Not only is it a grind to obtain as it only has a 2% chance of being recruited and is prone to running away, but it also takes a long time to build it up to its final forms.
Tokos can be found on ugly duckling isle and give massive amounts of EXP as a reward, so that's one upside to farming them. Its next form is tokotoko, eventually metamorphosing into either tokotocold or docotoko. Tokotocold can heal the entire party with its healing rain trick, while docotoko is a good choice for party buffs and removing status ailments as well as being able to revive party members.
